How to say “cherry” in Chinese? 

There are two kinds of cherries in China.

One is native cherry, smaller and more sour, we call it “樱桃 yīng táo” .

The other is from Chile, bigger and more sweet, we call it “车厘子chēlízǐ”,which is from English.

At first, it was said in Cantonese, and its pronunciation is similar to “cherry”.
