粽子 zòngzi – Chinese Rice dumplings
Today is the Dragon Boat Festival, during the festival, Chinese people will definitely eat rice dumplings. 端午节的时候，中国人一定会吃粽子。
我们来看看 粽子 有什么口味的吧！Let’s take a look at the taste of zongzi！
在中国的北方，人们比较喜欢甜粽，比如说红豆粽 hóngdòuzòng，蜜枣粽 mìzǎozòng。 In northern China, people prefer sweet rice dumplings, likered bean dumplings, sweetjujube dumplings.
在中国的南方，人们偏向于咸粽，比如说 肉粽 ròuzòng、蛋黄粽 dànhuángzòng。 In southern China, people prefer salted rice dumplings, such as salted meat rice dumplings and rice dumplings with yolk and pork.
粽子 怎么做呢？ How to make ZONG ZI?
1.粽叶zòngyè（reed leaves）:粽叶要提前煮十分钟左右，这样的粽叶才会柔软，不容易折断。The reed leaves should be boiled for about ten minutes in advance, so that it will be soft and not easy to break.
2.糯米nuòmǐ（glutinous rice）:糯米要提前浸泡4个小时，这样味道更香软。Glutinous rice should be soaked for 4 hours in advance, so that the taste is more soft.
3.棉线miánxiàn： cotton thread
这样就可以开始了! Now we can start!
最后，需要下水煮几小时。Finally, put into the water and cook for a few hours.
